If you’re considering going a diet, congratulations! It’s the first and most practical step to a healthier, and happier you!

But where to start? What to choose?

Should you do the “low carb” thing, or is it really dangerous? (No, recent clinical data suggests low carb diets are as effective, perhaps moreso than more typical diets… with no adverse changes in critical health markers).

And did you know that recent studies show that an elevated protein intake increases fat loss, satiety, post meal thermogenisis and protects against the loss of lean muscle mass?

There’s so much conflicting information “out there”, that’s it’s hard to know what is the right route for you.

And while we can’t claim to know exactly what is best for you, we do know that any plan that requires mammoth amounts of willpower and excessive caloric depreivation is not a good long term solution.

This type of diet causes weight loss in the short term (much of it coming from metabolism-boosting lean muscle) but since it’s impossible to maintain it for long, the weight always comes back… often faster than ever.

That’s why the best diet solutions are practical, moderate and much less-dramatic. Long term, sustainable solutions to weight loss are your best bet; rarely do diets offering rapid weight loss provide much long term value.

It’s likely it took years for the you to gain the weight… it won’t come off overnight. A practical, sensible plan will see 1-2lbs. of weight loss per week! That might be less than you like, but this we can guarantee…

… it IS do-able.
